59 Theory of Compiler, Regarding Elizabeth's surname, she is recorded as NOVAK at her 1824 marriage and at events concerning her children in 1825, 1831, 1832. The surname LETSOVITS is used in 1847 in the records for her death and that of her husband, as well as at the 1835 baptism of a daughter. In 1829 she is recorded as " SKRABCSANSKY filia LETSOVITS"; and simply as SKRABCSANSKY in 1840, 1843 and 1847. In 1837 her name is recorded as TKACS. Elizabeth's father (John NOVAK) died when she was 3 years old, and her mother (Anna DULYAK) remarried the next year to Mathew LETSOVITS. TKACS could be a clerical error, since its translation is "weaver" -- the occupation of both her husband & father. No explanation is apparent for SKRABCANSZKY. [It must be noted that Anna and Matthew's first child born in 1808 was also named Elizabeth, meaning that their were two "Elizabeths" in the household at the same time. No juvenile deaths have been located for either one. It has been concluded that "ELIZABETH NOVAK" was the spouse of JOHN SALAMON; marriage name and age, as well as death age, are compatible with this conclusion.

90 Personal Knowledge of Compiler (Eileen Maloney Condon), Theory and/or comments: The marriage record of George and Anna is a bit confusing. As she was not of legal age, parental consent was needed , and the entry reads "cum consensus patris sponsas Georgii" [with the consent of the bride's father "George" rather than Paul.] She was living in house #4 at the time of the marriage. This home was the residence of Paul Lisztsak and his wife Mary Kalinay; Paul died in that house in 1860. House numbers came into use in the church records in 1852, and births of two of their children (1854 and 1855), death of their son (1854), and marriage of their daughter Susan (1864) all refer to this house. Also supporting the argument that Anna's father was "Paul" is the 1869 census. House #5 included 3 families: George & Anna (Lisztsak) Tomecko and their son Stephen (born in house #4); the widowed Mary (Kalinay) Lisztsak ,14-year old daughter Helen and a servant; married couple Andrew and Susan (Lisztsak) Hricz and their infant son. Birth years correspond, and the assumption can be made that Susan and Helen were Anna's sisters, and the widow Mary was her mother. George and Anna named two daughters "Susan" and one "Helen".
